GET
ACQUAINTED WITH OUR CHURCH!

Come join us for old time
gospel praise & worship; dynamic, anointed preaching; challenging
and interesting Bible study; prayer for the sick; and wonderful
fellowship!
For
many years Open Door Pentecostal Church of God was located at Hiler
and Nacogdoches in San Antonio, Texas (THE
CHURCH IS NOW LOCATED AT 151 LANARK). In 2003 the building
they were located in was sold to another denomination. An agreement
was reached with the new owners and for several years Open Door
held one service a week on Sundays at 2:30 in the afternoon.
As
of June 2006 Pastor
Hopkins and the Open Door Pentecostal Church of God congregation
received Home Missions status under the auspices of the Southwest
Texas District of the Pentecostal Church of God.
At
this time, Open Door Pentecostal Church of God is the only
PCG church in the city of San Antonio, Texas.
San
Antonio is now the nation's 7th largest city. The economy is booming
and the cost of living is much lower than the national average.
This has led to the overwhelming growth that is being experienced
in the Bexar County area.
The
city is a ripe Harvest Field of souls. Open Door PCG is determined
to work hard in that Harvest Field. They want to make a dynamic difference
in their neighborhood as well as the city of San Antonio!
The
church is located in an ideal area for ministry. The neighborhood
is made up primarily of hard working folks who are raising their
families. There is ample opportunity for street ministry as well.
There is a large number of people who need to be delivered from
drugs and alcohol. Driving through the vicinity you can tell that
there is some gang activity as well. Some buildings have been "tagged"
(marked with graffiti to identify gang territory).
The congregation is warm and friendly.
This church simply loves people! YOU ARE INVITED to visit us and
experience an old time pentecostal service in a church that ministers
to the relevant problems of today!
